Janet Schlarbaum Set Self Development Goals by Johnny C.

Goal setting is one of the secrets for achieving what we want in life. Without a goal we wonder aimlessly around not knowing which way we should headed to. The purpose of a goal then is to clearly define what and when we want something to happen, so that our dreams will come true. If you want a successful life, goal setting is definitely a skill that you need to master.

A self improvement goal is one of the many goals that we human set in life. It is much more satisfying to experience success when it comes to self-improvement goal setting. Success almost certainly starts with setting a goal that clearly defines. However many set the goals and then do little about them, or lack of the know how to achieve them.

Here are 3 tips on how to set self improvement goals:

1) Writing down your goals and clearly defined them

Take for example, if losing weight were what we want for example, a clearly defined goal would include the number of pounds we desire to lose or the body measurement or dress size that we aim to target. It is a clearly defined goal that allows us to tell whether or not we have achieved our goal. If we leave a goal at I want to lose weight, we would never know when we have achieved the goal because there is no way to determine success or failure. Is a loss of two pounds enough to be considered success at losing weight or did we fail because it is not noticeable that we lost weight? A clearly defined goal such as: I will lose ten pounds by Christmas Day can be measured and success or failure determined in a definite manner.

2) Set Realistic Goal

You will more likely be able to achieve your goal if you take the time to examine your goal and make it one that will be possible to achieve. An unrealistic goal, no matter how well defined is still going to be difficult to achieve.

3) Breaking down a big goal into smaller goals

There are many obstacles and challenges that a person could encounter on the way to setting a self-improvement goal including not knowing exactly what the goal is, or not knowing what it takes to achieve a goal, not being willing to focus on the goal on a daily basis, not being passionate about achieving the goal and also not being able to take the consistent action required to achieve a goal.

When setting a goal you should take all of these obstacles and challenges into consideration. Sometimes breaking down a big goal into smaller goals can help defuse some of these obstacles and challenges.

There are many secrets in life. Though scientists have been conducting researches on human mind and body, they have not yet succeeded in totally revealing the mystery regarding them. There are certain secrets lying behind personal success also.

Earnest desire is the most important quality needed for achieving success in life. The raw materials, opportunity, resources, wealth etc are more than enough in this world. Personal success does not depend on chance, destiny, luck or good fortune. Rather it depends on goal setting, hard work, discipline, vision, responsibility etc. Human mind has tremendous potential. Our sub conscious mind acts as the life guidance system in leading us towards our goals and dreams. The most important thing that we should possess in order to become successful is to have specific aims and dreams. Our sub conscious mind should be fed with our aims in short phrases. If such phrases are repeated constantly our mind will lead us to our destination.

Success does not come overnight. It needs perseverance. Personality development, knowledge accumulation etc are indispensable for achieving success.

Success in life is great when it’s achieved, but you may very well know that success doesn’t come without some failures. To be truly successful in life it’s those times of failure that matter most. What you do will determine just how much success you will have. But how do you guarantee success after a failure?

The key can be found in a quote by Horace Greeley who said, ‘Fame is a vapor, popularity an accident, riches take wing, and only character endures.’ Character is the key to long-term success. Character isn’t always the source of failure but character is always exposed in times of failure.

If you fail in a certain area and you have a terrible character, you will have to have some major life changes in order to repair the damage that is done by your character flaws. But if you have a strong character you will be ale to rebuild success and, many times, be able to do it faster than you did previously. If you built success with the right character the first time, you already have a strong foundation to build upon.

You see, character is a funny thing. It will either be the bedrock that stands strong and helps you endure through all the good and bad times in life. Or it will be the quicksand that swallows up anything that you build upon it. However, the choice is up to you as to which type of foundation you want. To guarantee success after failure, the bedrock of your character must be built on integrity, honor, and trustworthiness.

Success is a word, which is more liked and sought for by
everyone in the world, whereas failure is viewed as more
dreaded one and people want to avoid it. But basically success
or failure has an impact as such, on how it is defined and
understood. Success is generally defined as the achievement or
accomplishment of a task i.e. only the end result is seen and
not the means through which it is attained. Success can
beautifully be defined as the ‘Succession of successful days’.

Success actually is an outcome of short-term obstacles;
set backs/failures and more than success it is failures that
offer us a gift of learning. So failure can thus be defined as
an unexpected, short-term result that challenges our progress
and that which provide disguised opportunities for learning and
development. Failure is often considered as a misfortune,
rather as the seeds for tomorrow’s greatest success. Such a
positive frame of mind ability to see the magnificent in the
minimal and developing a vision of seeing the huge banyan tree
(success) remaining dormant and recessive in a small seed is
necessary. Failure is not a defeat, but it is a chance or
evidence to prepare oneself for a change or improvement. When
there is no failure or error in life, there will be no
change/correction and when there is no change/correction, there
is no learning and there is no increase or improvement in
performance. Thus successful failure is the failure that
provides more learning and serves as the foundation for future
success. Success is not really in how high we go up in life,
but how many times we bounce back when we fall down. So one
should always remember that success is just 1% that results
from 99% of what we call as failures. Success cannot be
achieved overnight and the basic formula for success according
to me is being HAAPPPY i.e.

H- Honesty

A-Ambitious

A-Attitude (Positive)

P-Patience

P-Persistence

P-Perseverance

Y-Yearning to succeed.

It is not always necessary that we should try to be a man of
success; the main aim of all of us should be rather becoming
men of value, which will eventually lead to a happy, healthy
and harmonious living.

Janet Schlarbaum, founder of a leading organic food distribution company, announced a new partnership with a Homeless Shelter to provide monthly food donations to help feed the homeless. These donations will comprise of fresh, seasonal organic produce to provide maximum nutritional benefits.

A nutritional expert for over twenty-two years, Janet Schlarbaum has the goal of sourcing and distributing sustainable organic foods. Based on Janet Schlarbaum ’s extensive research, organic produce offers significantly higher levels of nutrients than conventional food and has the added benefits of being free from harmful chemicals such as harsh pesticides. Organic foods have a higher level of anti-oxidants as well, which can boost the immune system.

“We’re very happy to give back to the community,” reports Janet Schlarbaum. “Everyone has given us a warm reception and we are delighted to have the opportunity to share the benefits of our locally-grown, organic produce with people most in need of healthful meals.”

“During these trying economic times, we worry since our donations become less frequent, especially since we are one of the smaller shelters,” explains Alfredo Juana, Director of the Homeless Shelter. “Janet Schlarbaum and her team have been exceedingly generous and we are very grateful to them.”

Janet Schlarbaum kicked off the partnership this month with a donation that included avocados, potatoes, spinach, cauliflower and several fruits and berries including blueberries and anti-oxidant rich pomegranates.

Janet Schlarbaum, a nutritional expert for over 22 years. Janet Schlarbaum has contracted farms across the east coast to grow certified organic produce which is then distributed through large supermarket chains across the nation.
